Nor does it see any such seeds in its ideology so far, I guess. For now, before heading to temples, the comrades may like to try selling the Communist Manifesto at sites where the RSS has the least influence—probably at Shaheen Bagh, to start with.
India needs free, fair, non-hyphenated and questioning journalism even more as it faces multiple crises. But the news media is in a crisis of its own. There have been brutal layoffs and pay-cuts. The best of journalism is shrinking, yielding to crude prime-time spectacle. ThePrint has the finest young reporters, columnists and editors working for it. Sustaining journalism of this quality needs smart and thinking people like you to pay for it.
Whether you live in India or overseas, you can do it here. Support Our Journalism. I do not have a problem with caste system as a part of identity. It is essential psychologically. We cannot deny our ancestors and our descendants.
It has already destroyed India several times from within. But, people like this author are as much delusional as communists by hanging onto Manuvaadi and alienating the support of educated, non-Suvarnaas and other religion practitioners.
You are a dumb fellow. RSS does not approve the current Manusmriti. I say in this context that CP M and other Left parties must do some critical self-examination to find out why the Leftists lost power in West Bengal and very recently Tripura. I will mention a few here. Everyone needs a whipping boy. So it is RSS for left-liberal sickularist political parties. Can they tell us how many communial riots can be attributed to RSS, since independence?
How many RSS workers and office bearers have been convicted in communal offences? I hate his class and the class he and his party serve. I hate his class collaborators, BJP and all other allies today or yesterday to share the power, money, facilities. They also include the pseudo communist parties, who have long back ditched the working class, the real creators of the social wealth! You are a socialist, I understand but socialist experiment is a failure.
Though it has flaws, I would go with democracy and capitalism.. Great article anyway. Am neutral right now and not siding with anyone. But of course I have some bias against BJP. You know…. The politician in him speaks only for his convenience.
Modi too gets bashed up, for e. But when the nation sees a scam free govt for 3 years, a serious answer to Pakistan in the form of surgical attacks which btw, even our Rahul Baba appreciated out of no choice and when you see a PM who connects with his country once every month through Mann Ki Baat, are some of the most simplest reasons why Rahul needs a lot of catching up work to do… Just taking holidays for 50 days to Thailand in and now study tour off to the US are not what we expect out of a person who aspires to lead the country.
So you can imagine, how much were our countrymen and women were frustrated….!! He needs to rebuild himself…. What they have forgotten here is that they have to uplift themselves….
Which is the last thing on their agenda right now. A very well thought out , in depth analysed piece of writing about Rahul Gandhi in a long time. Speech alone never made a good person, let alone a great leader. These are powerful empowerment acts. I feel the current dispensation is all hot air and less substance. None of their policies like demonitisation, gst , seems to be working in favour of majority of us indians.
Whatever one may say in favor or against , the point is , he is kniwn to make baseless statements allegations etc which does not have logic or reasoning which has landed him in trouble in the courts as well as made him the subject of jokes. The name pappu was coined , not because of any conspiracy , but because of his own display of his thinking prowress thru his statements. Well, Shaheen I respect your views on Mr. Rahul Gandhi and I must tell you that my family, since beginning of electoral system laid, was ardently following INC.
I grew up watching movies like Trshul, which demonstrated unemployment of skilled and capable youth. Later on I completed my ph. D and assimilated lot of skills but remained unemployed. I asked a question to myself, despite having given coverage of our published research by PTI service India, though our research convinced international scientific community to invite us for postdoctoral positions, why there are no takers inland.
The Govt. My problem was not just my problem but, it was the problem of millions. The bad policies of the then Congress Govt. What I can see is, the new generation politicians like Rahul Gandhi, even after 14 years of his political experience simply speaks about Garibi Hatao and have done nothing for the skilled masses. These programmes, though hailed by some, in reality, they broke the rural team work.
Does He — No , U cant blame people for not listening him. Suppose a class teacher have to choose a monitor for class. And option are below A — boy who has ability to make class listen to him and nit easily bullied by class and if ha can handle it too but he is average in marks. B — A Boy who is bullied by class and cant make class to listen to him though he is good at marks I dont think that anyone would probable pick up B.
Summary — Rahul Gandhi may be good but He is mocked because he lacks the competence to sit on position in which he is sitting right now. India needs free, fair, non-hyphenated and questioning journalism even more as it faces multiple crises.

Right wing intellectuals are probably all in either finance or economics, with views differing on levels of fiscal conservatism. Narendra Modi is a big-state politician, very much left leaning when it comes to economics.
However, these are genuine differences in approach and should not be termed a dislike for Mr. As for social issues, very few Hindus will endorse free cow slaughter, and fewer Hindus will endorse lynchings. They will, however, ask that laws regulating animal slaughter and food be implemented.
Difficult to believe that intellectuals who are fed by congress for partisan politics hate rahuk baba. Strange Thing is that.. Ur article is too wrong to judge with common people.. Intellectual can never adopt a pro people policy like govts..
But the irony is that intellectuals seem to be pro people and anti govt but practically they are not.. The importance of intellectuals has been overemphasized. It is the common people, the masses whose views matter in a country like India. Intellectuals, despite their grand opinions about themselves, do not necessarily go to the polling booth to cast their votes. Elections are won and sometimes lost on the perception of the common people. For instance, even if RBI figures have established that demonetisation was a disaster, a majority of people still perceive it as a great cleansing exercise.
We need leaders in the Sub Continent who will keep the above in mind while attending to the affairs of the state. We are in the 21st Century and our world view is becoming more based on Science with a social conscience. We cannot forget the fact that all of us humans are related and that our ancestors left South Africa some 30 to 50 thousand years in search of better life and populated the entire Earth and now we are nearly 7 billion of us bustling everywhere with all sorts of activities , old and new.
Hope the newer leaders will forever keep in mind how far we have all come and help us minimize our tribalism and inculcate humanism.
